The DVD drive on this Polaroid 2001G sucks. It has trouble reading discs it burned, as well as playing other DVDs (burned or pressed). I might try to replace it with something else.

I used some MCC03RG20 Verbatim 16x DVD-R, and the Polaroid wrote to them, but then it would not acknowledge them. I put them in the LiteOn 5104 DVD recorder, and was able to see the video (and menus), and was allowed to finalize them. The new discs have LiteOn menus.
