Hi,
I used Verbatim 16X (but burned at 2X) using tmpgenc dvd author to burn a 4.3g. project. For the most part it looks good, but everynow and then there are some "boxes" that appear or it freezes for an instant. Does this sound like a disc problem? It was footage from my vx2000 3 chip minidv camera that I edited using premier pro 1.5, exporting as a dv avi, then using tmpgenc plus to convert to mpeg2. From what I can see, the outputted mpeg-2s are fine, it seems to be just on the disk. Any fix for this?
Thanks!

Your media is good (Verbatim), however, it may not have burned nicely at 2x. IMGBurn reports that the Verbatim 16x media I use supports 4x, 8x, 12x and 16x. Try burning it at a faster speed.

I'll try imageburn instead of the burning software with tmpegenc dvd author. Wow, faster speed for burning? I always thought lowest was best. thanks
