    Do you want an avi with chapters? Not possible. You must use another video format like DVD, VCD, SVCD or another video container like .divx and use divxmediabuilder but it will only work with the divx player.

    yeah i am converting it to dvd i usally use winavi but i can select where i want the chapters what programs can i use to say where i what the chapters?

    You add chapters when you author the dvd, dvd authoring tools: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=2#2 . I like Tmpgenc dvd author

    Winavi does everything for you and it has very limited authoring functions. You can still use winavi and convert to mpeg2 and then import it in for example tmpgenc dvd author.
