I have a windows media video clip that I dowloaded to the computer. I am able to watch it on the computer, but I wanted to know if there is a way that I can put the video clip on a cdr and play it in mydvd player.

All-in-one solutions:
nerovision
winavi
avi2dvd
just add the wmv and convert to vcd.
or
tmpgenc xpress and vcdeasy, convert the wmv to vcd mpeg1 with tmpgenc xpress or tmpgenc, author and burn the mpeg1 file with vcdeasy. -
Thank you. I will get right to it. So when you say just add the wmv and convert to vcd, do you mean if I add my file into nerovision or winavi, or avi2dvd, it will do the work for me, and then I burn it to cdr

My method (which seems to work almost all the time with lots of different WMV types) is:
1. Open in WMM. Load into timeline. Export as DV-AVI (type1)
2. Convert type1 to type2 with DVDate.
3. Encode with TMPGEnc to MPG1 (VCD settings).
4. Author with VCDEasy to VCD (either disc image/CUE-BIN or straight to disc).
