I can't get backup DVD movies to play on my stand alone. The stand alone recognizes the DVD+RW format, I can author DVD's of home video and they play with no problem. I'm ripping original DVD's with Clad 2.0 and removing Region code, encryption, and Macro. Once ripped to the hard drive I'm burning them to HP DVD+RW media with the HP dvd100i drive. I'm using Nero 5.5.4, DVD, UDF/ISO format. The movie plays the copyright protection screen(imagine that), the Touchstone screen then stalls out at the Menu. The standalone player(Sony DVD-NS300) shows "1" on the LCD and the video goes to the Sony startup screen. I've tried a couple different movie titles, and Mitsubishi DVD+RW media with the same results. Any suggestions to what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Why not rip the movie, encode it with tmpgenc with the dvd template and then bring the encoded video into MyDVD and burn from there? If you want the extras, just rip them as well encode them and put them on the menu.
