In Device manager I have something called "Legacy video capture drivers"
And the X600 PRO I guess is supposed to be a capture card,
The S-video looking jack on the back of it, the adapter from that to composite that came with the card has two arrows one in and one out

Oddly enough the CD that came with it doesn't have the Multimedia Center or what ever it is..

How can I find out what is the story?

Check out ati's website for a manual. That's the first place I'd look.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Do a yahoo or google search. Try looking for a serial number somewhere on the card or your box you got. Many video cards have multiple versions even if the main number of the card is the same. This one you say is "pro" so there will be a subset of the x600 designated pro or some other verbage like that.

Best bet is to get a serial number and do a net search and you should pick up the exact video card you have.

ATI made two versions of that card. The All In Wonder X600 PRO and the Radeon X600 series. The AIW has the capture hardware, the Radeon does not. If it's an AIW it will have a square looking multi-pin socket on the back of the card along with 2 monitor connections. If it's the Radeon version then it will have the 2 monitor connections and a round video out plug. afaik.

    Good luck.
