  1. Hi, this is a noob question, but i am a noob when it comes to media centres so there you go.

I am running media centre software on my computer (TVedia v4.0), on a NVIDIA GFORCE 7600 GS, it has S video format TV out.

is it possible to display the media player on my TV connected to the s-video port on my grapics card, so i can run other applications through my monitor?

if it is possible, could someone please give me a short how to?

thanks for any help you can provide.

p.s. i am using windows XP home SP2

Just plug the S-video cable into your video card and your TV. Select the S-video input on your TV. From there, on your computer, go to 'Control Panel>Display>Settings. If you see two monitors, then one is your TV, the other your computer monitor. You may have to adjust your TV settings there in 'Advanced'. You may see a 'GeForce' tab with settings for overlay, screen resolutions, and other display settings. Your owners manual for your video card may be helpful here.

  3. Hi, I tried connecting my PC to my TV, but nothing i do seems to work to get any sort of display. I've tried almost everything i can think of, but still just get a blue TV screen.

I dont have s-video on my TV so i had to connect the 2 via an s-video to scart cable. could this be the problem? could anyone let me know of any important software features i might have missed?

any help with this would be greatly apreciated. its driving me mad not being able to do it.

    thanks guys

I am not sure if a wireless PC to TV converter will help. Find more info on
