Ogm and mkv with subs in forntrow

i would like to know how to play ogm /mkv with subs using forntrow and if i can change subs on/off and change the audio ch with the remote??? if so what do i need to add to do it

i have diretv i would like to know how i can use my mac to rec tv show like a dvr

two questions two answers.

1. mux the mkv and subtiles to avi via
Merkonk's excellent MoKgVm2DVD program.
Then bounce the avi into Visual Hub and make your mp4
for Frontrow/apple TV.
The subs will be embedded, I don't think front row lets you
select subs, so you will need to make two files, one with
embedded subs for each language.

2. if your direct TV has FW I/O ports, you can
use a tool from the Firewire SDK to record signals
from the direct tv box.
