    Hi,

    I'm on Mac OS 10.4.8 on a G5 with single 1.8 processor, 2GB SDRAM, 80GB free on a 160BG disc.

I just downloaded latest ffmpegX (ffmpegX v0.0.9x r2 Sep 28, 2006) and also installed the latest thee additional files.

I'm trying to convert a mpeg4 to a .flv file. No go. The details about the mpeg says: mpeg4, yuv420p, 320 x 240. Audio: qdm2, 64000Hz, stereo. The file is about 67MB.

I'm trying to make a .flv file using the default settings in ffmpegX. The only thing I'd lie to change is to give it a bit more frames/sec than 12.

When clicking "encode", it takes 2 seconds, then "pling" and then a 0 KB file. I haven't the faintest idea why this is happening.

    TIA for kind help!

    Cheers,
    Dan

Open the Process Information Log () of a failed conversion. Copy that to a text file and attach to a post here, so we can have a look. It should hold clues to why a conversion failed. That should help avoid the errors on a next conversion.

I'm having the same problem. I don't always get the error message.

You may access the Log by clicking the blue "i" in the ffmpegX Progress window.
On a failed conversion, the last line in the Log could read: Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0. If so, then you may fix this situation by enabling Invert mapping in the Audio tab.

I'm stuck with the same problem. I'm exporting a sequence from After Effects at 29.97fps, with the motion JPEG codec at about 99%. The clip is 320x240 @ 37 MB for 4'18". I'm trying to translate that into a flv with the FFMPEGX preset. I've tried tinkering (no audio/boast or lower data rate). The flv export worked for me not too long ago, so I saw it work under a slightly earlier verion.

Right now the error happens under 10.3.9 with the absolute newest version of ffmpegx.

My error code after getting a tiny file is::

FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard
    Fri Dec 15 23:31:15 PST 2006
Mac OSX universal build for ffmpegX
    libavutil version: 49.0.0
    libavcodec version: 51.9.0
    libavformat version: 50.4.0
    Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '/Volumes/acom/AAA hold off/061006 sleep study/planet rotation/Comp_1.mov':

    Stream #0.0(eng), 29.97 fps(r): Video: mjpeg, yuvj422p, 320x240
Number of stream maps must match number of output streams
Oddly enough, I'm recompressing/rebuilding this clip, (and refamiliarizing myself with the process,) because dreamweaver would not build a working web page with the video component. I tried the tip on inverting the audio. It didn't work, but the clip didn't have audio in it.

VLC will play my previously made clip but will complain about "seeking too early," and crash fast if I scan through. I'm ashamed to say I threw out the old clip.

    I found my answer here:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=315913

I was feeding ffmpegx a file with no audio track but forcing it to come up with audio on the final flv file.
