  1. Ok, so I didn't get any advice on how to best make a VCD from a DivX AVI. SO I loaded the DivX codec and then encoded the video with TMPGEncode usint the "highest quality" setting. I was not sure if I shoudl change anythiong else in the default VCD template so I didn't.

The result seemed a bit pixelated.

    Would anyone have done differently?

  2. Even if you changed anything your result file would still be the same.

It all depends on the source file.

  3. Actually it is possible to change the results. In the template you can use some of the filters to reduce the "noise" of the video. This reduces pixelation but if you overuse it, it can lead to a washed out looking video.

Just mess around with the filter settings and see what ones fit your taste.
