Great, now not only can they screw up Wordperfect, and Paint Shop Pro, they can screw up DVD MovieFactory et al.

    Nothing like progress.

  4. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

The old Cowpland days at COREL have transitioned into a totally new era at the company.

Still, I have to admit the Macintosh platform is looking better and better to me these days.

I probably won't give up on my PC multimedia work entirely, but I think I'd like to have both Macintosh and PC platforms in my studio.

Two of my favourite product producers getting into bed I see ... one in ... all in ... lol .

Maybe they'll find out who's been leaving all those crumbs under the sheet's ... lmgo .

But corel is guaranteed to screw them up ... still problems in their own crap to fix first .

In fact , corel is so slow ... that the gimp has now got the gap animation part working correctly ... and they dont have oodles of money like corel ... it's mostly donation's and hard work by many to improve it ... now that's thinking .

I'm back with the gimp ...

ULead was the brightest spot at the consumer level. They didn't dumb the products down to useless in the name of user friendliness. The products have utility even for the intermediate user. I wonder if Corel will have commitment at the Prosumer level?

This is bad news indeed. I remember what Corel did to the old Picture Publisher program after they bought Micrografx. A travesty. Picture Publisher was a low-cost alternative to Photoshop that was a fantastic program while Micrografx was making it. It even supported most Photoshop plugins. I used it for several years back when I couldn't afford Photoshop. Once Corel bought it out it was dead within a year. I'm not saying they will let the Ulead products die, but I don't trust Corel, period, and I'll never give them a dime.

I bought Corel stock at $10.25 (during the Linux hype) and dump it at $0.88. It was a dog. It's loser from an investor standpoint. Corel had long enough time to turn around.. but never did.
