I’m having a heck of a time trying to get audio and video being in sync using DVD MovieFactory 5. Ok, when I have an AVI formatted project that can’t fit onto 4.7 GB DVD disc, I break it up into 2 parts. When I do this, part 1 is perfect and I can play the DVD on my Samsung DVD player. However, part 2 of my projects always end up with the audio being out of sync with the video. Ok this is what I have tried, from the beginning I click on Video Disk and select New Project. Then the Create a Video Disk window opens up and I select DVD. Then I click on Add Video Files and I choose my AVI formatted project. Then I uncheck Create menu because I don’t need this, I just want my project to start right up were I left it. Then I click on Multi-trim Video which opens up the Multi-trim Video window. Now before I go find the place where I want part 2 to start, I select how many frames per second I want to edit my project. This option is a sliding bar that offers 1, 5, 15, 30, 900, and 1800 frames per second, now no matter what speed I’ve tried I’ve ended up with the same problem. Ok, so let’s say I choose 1frame per second, and then I advanced the film to where I want to start part 2. Let’s say my film is 125 minutes in length and in part 1 of my first DVD I stopped the film at 70 minutes. So now I go to the 70 minute part of the film and I press F3 to choose my starting point. Then I go to the end of the film and then press F4 to select the end part of my project. Then an icon of my movie is placed in the Trimmed Video section and then I test it by pressing ‘Play Trimmed Video’. And of course it works perfectly with the audio and video in sync! Then I click on ‘Next’ and go to the window that has a picture of a VCR remote, I click on play and once again my project plays perfectly with audio & video in sync! The I click on ‘Next’ once again and now I’m in the final window. Before I click on the icon to burn my DVD, by default two things have a checkmark beside them. One is ‘Create to disc’ and I leave that one checked and the other is ‘Archive images of slideshows’ and take off the checkmark. Then I burn the DVD and when I play it in my Samsung DVD player the audio and video are out of sync each and every time! So can anybody help me to fix this problem?
