burn xvid in roxio dvd

dont know if its the right place to post this

trying to burn a xvid in mydvd from roxio.. (the light version)
the software says that i dont have the correct codec installed

the file when clicking properties
sound MPEG Layer-3
video XVID

i have the xvid codec installed

when installing the divx pro pack it works
but i dont like that think the divx gets losses
in quality with it..

any suggestions ???

If you want to convert to dvd-video use something better like ConvertXtoDVD or the old free DivXtoDVD. MyDVD does not handle divx,xvid that well.

ty for the reply.. ive converted the xvid files now into dvd(video_ts and audio_ts folder) with the convertxtodvd ..so now i wanna burn the files and play on my ps2.. ok
roxio mydvd - i imported the video_ts files but it writes without sound!
then i didnt know what to do so i created an image file of the created video_ts and audio_ts
with poweriso .iso.. and burned with imgburner.. but it writes somekind of data dvd that
cannot be played with ps2.. so how do i write an dvd movie with either the image file or
the video_ts etc.. wasted two dvds on this...
