    I need a player which will allow me to play svcd, dvd, frame by frame, eg. super-slow motion. Help. Freeware hopefully

    Hmmm... and why do we need the super-slow motion?

    Truman is quite correct, PowerDVD is a good choice. WinDVD doesn't have frame-by-frame playback. And, I'm not aware of any freeware DVD players out there are all, that is, any that work properly.

    IIRC Videolan has frame by frame playback (can't say I really remember anymore). But it is freeware.
