Hi I,m having a problem with a dvd I made then copied , the Master is on Maxell-rw and copied to Panasonic DVD-R 16x It plays OK on all my DVD players Alba 2 Panasonics and a LG but on somebody elses DVD player it jumps at a certain spot I made another copy and it does the same thing but not on my dvd players only his. Now he got copies before and they were OK the only thing I think I changed was the burn speed I think from 4x to 8x would this be the problem or could it be something else. I asked him the name of his dvd player and he couldn't remember so sorry I haven't got that info Please can you advise . Thanks
Have since found out its a Samsung DVD player and have seen what the problem is the picture starts to break up and sometimes jumps forward I have since give him another copy one of the first burns I did on this project and it works OK diferent media[ Panasonic media playing up Ritek playing OK?] and I think it was burned slower Any thoughts ?

Media quality is key when it comes to not having playback issues on standalone players. Use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden, burning at 8X or slower will help with some picky players. Also try not to compress your video if at all possible, that too can cause playback problems.

Typical media issue. His player just doesn't like the brand/type of media that you are using. Most quality discs like Verbatim and TY as suggested above, are the most compatible.

Thanks everybody I do think its the media although Im abit surprised that it was Panasonic media that failed I guess it was their machine that didn't like the panasonic discs .Thanks again
