Making an mpeg4 .avi with ffmpeg with the "Decode with Quicktime" checkbox checked produces the same.

I know this worked previously becuase I have used it in the past with success. These are DV files produced by Final Cut Pro, all which have worked previosuly as well. Something has changed?

I have a feeling you have upgraded to Quicktime 7 which is the same problem I have had, the older Quicktime produced DV files that FFMpegX was quite happy to convert, but since doing a Software Update which changed the Quicktime version my DV files have flatly refused to convert with audio in them.

I have mentioned this in another post :: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1595452&highlight=#1595452

hope that helps you out, I feel that this is a bug that needs some 'major' attention if you'll excuse the pun
