    Ive seen some players now taking usb pendrives to play images and photos etc, id like to know if this would be worth the buy or would it be slow at reading the avi from a pendrive or faster? im thinking of buying one if it is, as my current player dont play divx etc.

    it depends on the read speed. My PC have no problem reading the movies off a USB flash drive and playing it, but I don't know about a standalone player.
