    Hi!

I'm in need of some urgent help. I'm working on Vegas 6. I've brought in some video that is too dark. I used the video FX to brighten it, but on my preview screen, only the border got light. The centre is still dark! What do I do??? I have to get this done tonight!!

    Help please!

Post a screen shot of the video, or a few seconds of footage. depending on the state of the image, you may be limited in how much you can fix. You should also preview this on a TV, as video generally appears darker on the PC than it will on the TV.

    Which filter are you using?

Try the levels filter. You probably haven't calibrated your system so burn a short DVDR or RW to see what you are doing when played on a DVD player to a reasonable TV.
