ive tried this with nereo and musicmatch, i put in my own order on musicmatch and when the cds done burning i pop it in my car stereo or my friends dvd player (whats support mp3) and they are different order from what i made, usually the artists are all together, thank god i got random on my car stereo.. but my friends dvd player hasnt, is there a way round this or an alternate program to make the cds? but i dont think its anything to do with the program but the players software would be my guess?? any help appreciated.

MP3 CDs always layout alphabetically. In order to avoid this number your tracks. 001-artist-songname, 002-artist-songname, etc. Number always come before the letters so it'll keep them sequential by number.

I can't tell if you want random playing or not... but if you DON'T, then you can try putting each 'album' worth of material into separate folders on the disc. You have to see how your player handles it though... My RIO gives you a nice navigation gui that allows you to select individual folders, then play the songs inside of them. Some might now, and would want all in 'root'.

na i want the mp3s to play in the order i arrange them on musicmatch, nero tends to sort em out into its own order, but on musicmatch in the burn window i arranged them all to the order i wanted and the disc wasnt in the order i put em in when it finished, thats why i said thank god i got random on my car stereo, so it doesnt like play all the same artist together, but.. on my friends dvd player we use to play the tracks through his stereo, his dvd player plays the tracks in artist order.. so me arrangeing them in the first place was a waste of time.. wasted bout 4 discs tryna get round it.. but no luck.. basiclaly i just want them to play in the order i put them in, if my friends dvd player had a random setting for the mp3s it be fine.. but.. it doesnt

001 will come before 01 or 1
1-9 will come before A - Z
Example:
001
002
01
02
1
2
3
4
A
B
C
Z -
you can accomplish this in musicmatch, look in help files under Playlist. I did it about three months ago and it worked just fine in my car (buick lucerne) mp3 player.
