Ok, I'm brand new to this forum, so I'm sorry if I don't make sense or something.
I'm trying to burn/make a Vcd with some Anime ep's I have. I use Tmpeg to encode them from .avi to .mpg on High Quality 1:1, you know what I mean. Then I wanted to burn them useing Nero, now I've allready read some posts about nero from you guys and you say it sucks. But my problem is, my Nero is BUFFERING OUT at about 17%, the BUFFER meter drops to 0% and I get an error. How can I fix this? Or can I use something else to burn a Vcd(FireBurner give's me an error too) and so does VcdEasy(this give's me .bin and .cue file's but when it attpemts to burn it error's).
Now, how can I get these to work again? Or is there a way I can get this .bin and .cue files to burn(will that work) the .bin file is 738mb's and it's 3 episode's of anime. So you know. Please give me some links(if you can) and kinda step by step process to do this.
THank you

If you're getting buffer underrun errors, its because your machine can't supply data to your burner fast enough to keep up with it, not likely a software problem. Make sure you're not doing anything else on the machine at the same time, no screensavers set to activate, no surfing, etc. Just start the burn and walk away till its done. You might try burning at a lower speed than the max as well. If you have your burner plugged into the same IDE channel as your hard drive, you might try switching it to the secondary IDE channel as well.
I'm not quite sure how you plan to get 738mb on a CD that most likely has a capacity of 680 or 700 mb.
take care

I'm running a 1ghz AMD Athlon, 416mb Sd-ram, 30gb Hd, 32mb Ati graphic card. So I don't understand why it would be my comp.
I leave my comp. alone when I burn anything, no ss's or anything else running.
I have an 8x burner, what should I set it at? And then I'll try that. Maybe that would work.
And i've read in several place's that 80min cdr's can hold 800mb's of video(or something similiar) -
Jug,
You might also want to try purging your temp folders and offline content. I have encountered errors when burning software is creating an temporary image prior to burning and my TEMP file may be running low of space. Later.

Ya, I run my burner at 6x now, and it is fine. I've burnt several Vcd's now. Thanks everyone for the help.
