So I am adding the ability for users to upload video to my site.

I'm converting all to FLV's using FFMPEG. Since i'm a complete n00b when it comes to video, I would like to know:

What are the most common file types I will need to handle? What format do most people with digital camcorders end up with? This last part might entail common outputs from camcorder-provided editing software and not just the raw output?

(also, my users are not the most technical savvy, so I don't expect any exotic transcoding to happen).

THANKS SO MUCH! I've had the worst time trying to figure this out.

Any guesses as to the percentage % breakdown on prevalence of use?
