    Blackmagic Design introduces INTENSITY editing card that uses HDMI for only $249:

    Apparently, it allows for capture uncompressed quality from HDV cameras!

    that is HDV that is not recorded to tape - and HDV cameras that have hdmi out .. i.e. you connect your camera directly to your PC and record on your pc - not tape --

    that means you need a system to record uncompressed HD ... which would be fairly robust requirements ...
