My first pack of Verbatim glossy inkjet-printable DVD-Rs arrived yesterday from Rima.com:
http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=R&Product_Code=1877&C...y_Code=DMRVRTM
So far, I have printed one sample (Epson R300 printer), and the result is terrific -- noticeably smoother and more vivid than the same design printed on the typical matte-surface printable DVD-R.
The disk is not hub-printable: it has the old-style clear plastic hub with a narrow metallic ring around it. I happen to like that. If you prefer hub-printable, you might poke around Rima's catalog. It appears that Verbatim offers some variety in the glossy-surface product line.

Indeed there are hub printable glossy Verbatim discs. They're sold in 20-packs in slim jewel cases. I've seen them at MicroCenter.
