Howdy.
I did an AVI capture with VirtualDub, and edited it in Premiere 6.0.
I moved up to 6.5 and suddenly my captures have a constant ticking sound over the audio while I'm editing, and when I mix it all down to a movie the vid is goofed and I just have the ticking phenomenon.
Could this be a codec issue when I upgraded? Should I try to get the codec out? Anybody else run into this?

I never had that experience. If it was me, I'd reinstall from scratch from the v6.5 CD.

This has happened to me. it was some time ago so I can't quite remember. I believe it had something to do with the audio levels. I think i lowered the audio level and it went away

Tried it with no audio... still got the ticking. It's odd... the ticking isn't in the orig. capture. It only shows when I put it into a project track. It's a consistant rattle... almost sounds like the sound of an old movie projector.
There's a ghost in the machine someplace.
