Basically, I have a movie (properties says "video clip" not sure what format that is) that is in 6 pieces. I want to bring them all together so it is one file. Any help would be appreciated.

Drop them into Gspot 2.52 and see what they are. Merging them can be problematic, depending on their formats.
For most AVI type files, VirtualDub does a good job.
For MPEG, there are quite a few programs, TMPGEnc encoder can usually do them, for one. But merging can cause sync problems with some files. Something to watch out for. -
Theres also a very simple programme called; AVI MPEG RM WMV Joiner.
The trail lasts for 15 days and you have full use of everything for the trail period.
As said about sync problems...... usually I only have trouble with .avi type files, when joining.
