  1. My local Wal-Mart has two Pioneer 531H for $249 each. Is this a good deal? Should I grab one while I still can? They appear to be factory sealed, boxes are in decent shape. Thanks.

    It's most likely refurbished but still a good deal. Someone probably bought it and thought it sucked or was too complicated and returned it. I'm looking for one myself as a backup for my 633. New recorders suck so I want an old one.

    I saw one at my local Wal-Mart for $200, it was in the clearance aisle.

    I think the biggest reason DVD recorder are returned is because people figure out that they can't copy their retail dvd's with them.
