Recent MKV videos to AVI. Seems to be impossible

I've downloaded some .mkv videos recently, that VirtualDubMod doesn't open.

Dr.DivX convert it realy fast, but it seems to kep the key frames only, so it's like paging a comic book, fast images passing.

I believe that if you can create a format, you "destroy" it.

So it must be a way to "open" the .mkv container and ripout the video and audio.

But how?

mkvextract ? Virtualdub hasn't properly supported mkv for a while, and the newer versions actually tell you this when you open an mkv file. Try some of the other, dedicated mkv tools instead.
