So I happened to be browsing this afternoon and remembered you could buy audiobooks from itunes. However they didn't have quite everything I was looking for. Then I did a search and found audible.com. It has great star trek selections but it doesn't have much in the way of Star Wars books.

Is there a scifi download store for audiobooks out there? Can it let you burn to cd? I was suprised that my iriver t30 was on the compatible list for audible.com. Though I plan on burning a cd more often if I do this. I have bought audiobooks on cd and cassette but I'm interested in trying it online.

Does anyone have good experience with itunes audiobooks?? Can you burn to cd with them???

Not strictly sci-fi - think Project Guttenburg, but with audio books.

    BUMP

I signed up for www.audible.com. Not too bad of a service.

I used my instant credit (1 free download with signup) to buy the Star Trek audiobook FEDERATION - read by the late MARK LEONARD (Aka SAREK).

The quality is really good. I choose level 4 the highest quality. I just finished burning it to 3 cds. Pretty easy. The sound is really good. I recommend audible to those who want to get commercial audio books at good quality and are burnable. Also you can transfer them to mp3 players but I believe they are only for the "PLAYFORSURE" compatible players - the ones that can play DRM files.
