I tried doing a quick search, so if there is a thread that already answers this question, please direct me to it.
I have been trying to figure out a way to grab one or two of the videos from NBC's "Americas Got Talent" website. Going there and watching the videos is nice, but it's driving me nuts trying to figure out how to save one or two of the videos. I believe that it's doing it with a .smil file, inside are .flv urls, but they do not begin with any protocol labels (http, ftp, rtsp, etc), nor is it a complete url with a domain name (domain.com for example). I've tried manipulating the URL's, and I'm sure that would work to download the .flv file, however, it's driving me nuts trying to figure out what the correct/complete url is. I've also tried using URL Helper, which is how I found the .smil file, however the only .flv files it reports are any advertising files it plays.
I've tried using NetTransport, RealPlayer, QuickTimePlayer, WM Recorder, the Alternative Player and even Ambulant.
For anyone trying to look, it's at NBC.com, click on "Americas Got Talent", then go to the video section and click on any of the videos.
While on the topic of capturing streaming files, anyone have any tools to easily convert .rad files without having to 're-record' while streaming them?
TIA

Ok been a week. Anyone have any ideas, working on it (just not having luck yet?) or is it just not possible to get around yet?
