I have a Panasonic DVD burner - Model DMR-ES15, also a Panasonic TV Model CT-32D30B.
The burner is new & I want to put my old home vcr's on DVD's Is there ways that are better than others to hook up and do this?? I Also have a Old Emerson VCR player. SO would I hook up the vcr-burner-tv ?? & then whatever I see on the screen burn to the dvd's ????
Also are there better DVD disc than other, or are the all about the same ???
I did get one rewriteable one with the unit... I guess this would work just like the vcr when I want to (tape or whatever you call it now) from the TV. So I can watch it later ?????????
Be a novice and finding it somewhat difficult to understand all the info from the pamlet that come with the unit... Just trying to make sure before I ruin a bunch of DVD's
If any ideas that might help me,, pleas e-mail them. TKS

In most cases, after you figured out how to work the DVD recorder/burner, You most likley will transfer most of your VHS tapes to DVD.
Most people will hook the DVD recorder to the TV, and hook the VCR to the DVD recorder ( via av3 with audio/video cable) to transfer VHS tapes. DVD-RW is the better disc to start with. It help you to figure out how you want to work the DVD recorder. DVD-RW is most likely good for 20 reuse or more, till the disc pick up scrathces from handling.
After that, you can switch to DVD-R disc.
After transfering your VHS tape, you can hook the VCR to TV directly to view rental or tape you just to watch it one more time. Since your TV have 3 sets of audio/video input.
Enjoy your DVD recorder.
Note : If your VCR is very old, keep it. Because it maybe one of those that don't have macrovision ( the stuff that stop your transfering Movie VHS tape ).
