    Hi
I saw an article about converting all video formats to DVD MPEG2 by TMPGEnc XPress 3, but I have two questions about this tutorial and I hope somebody help me..
1- In this tutorial, the final file would be MPEG2, how can we make DVD-Video by this file?
2- In set output section there are two templates, DVD and MPEG OUTPUT, what are differences between them? Why did autur use DVD template and didn’t use MPEG template?
    Appreciate for any help.

    Regards
    Shahram

MPEG offers a wide range of options for encoding. DVD is a strict subset of those options. Look over on the left under "What Is" for the DVD specs. You use the DVD compliant MPEG2 file in an Authoring program to prepare it for DVD either with or without menus.

    1. Author it. There's guides to the left, under AUTHORING. I prefer TMPGEnc DVD Author, but there are plenty of other fine softwares ranging from free to quite expensive.

    2. An MPEG file may or may not be compliant for DVD - whilst I'm not familiar with that particular software, I could only assume that the DVD output keeps the DVD spec in mind and presets the vital settings accordingly, whereas the MPEG OUTPUT setting gives you far more latitude.
    If in doubt, Google it.
