Probably not but depends on the circumstances.

Like what, how many square feet we're talking? :P Wouldn't bother me a bit. Worst case scenario, I'll have some ghost stories to tell. But if I should hear a voice say: "GET OUT!", you'd better believe my ass would be out of there there faster than a hummingbird gets laid.

  5. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but my girlfriend supposedly has a high spiritual awareness. She "feels" things far too much to live in a place like that.

Wouldn't bother me one bit. Its not like you're going to have to live with the corpse. They clean up after stuff like that, you know.

Last house I lived in, someone got killed outside my front yard while I still lived there. Does that count?

If it's just that someone died there, many older homes have had a corpse or 2 in them especially in rural areas. When I was very young it was common to have the body displayed in the front parlour of the family home and family and friends would spend all night vigils at the home. I also know of relatives and old friends who died at home of natural causes. So it's not uncommon.

When I was in grade 2, a prominent citizen in the local church community died and the school children were encouraged to visit the home across the street in the morning or after classes to pay their respects.

Your question raises the idea of some horrific murder and that might change my perspective. If it was an indication of a bad neighbourhood then I would not buy. If the murderers(s) had not been caught then I probably would not buy there. If there were indications by neighbours that the place was haunted then I would not buy it. Not because of my own beliefs but because it would make it harder to blend into the new neighbourhood and become friends with those neighbours who would feel uncomfortable about visiting my home.

Yes, as long as they cleaned up all the blood spots and body parts. It would be a major bummer to be doing remodeling only to have decayed human body part come out of the wall.

Not to be gross, but there is no fully cleaned up. In most cases the gov't only does a half... er... hearted job, if that. Then the property owner has the option of calling in a professional company for BIG bucks to do a slightly better job.

There are some serious issues with body fluids and the fact that they flow and that many building materials are porus. The cost of removing all materials that have come into contact with the fluids is prohibitive so often cheap disinfectant is applied and it is called good.

I have had the oppertunity(SP) to help a close family freind clean up a moble home that had an older uncle die in it. It didn't take long to come to the conclusion that it was never going to be clean. It was in a small rural area and in the end the fire department allowed and stood watch as the place was burned.

I like to talk a mean game, but I lost some serious weight because I couldn't eat for almost a week afterwards. I just wasn't hungry for some reason.

    @ teegee
More than you could know. Aside from trying to do the work I had to try not to show any revulsion (SP) infront of the family who were taking it alot worse than me.

Luck would have it that the local volenteer fire cheif happened to stop by and make the suggestion (although it was already in my head) and get the needed approval from the magistrate and insurance company. The guy had seen it all before and was really professional about it.

Not sure how to answer. It wouldn't give me the creeps exactly, but I wouldn't live there either. I've had enough experience with ghost antics to know they are usually not worth the time required to deal with them. I'd rather be doing something better in life. I've been there, done that, and got bored with it already. It's like buying a house with a live in pet... just a nuisance.

Mostly they just hide your keys when you're late for work or run up your heating bill.

(All ghosts can make you hurt yourself, much like all people have the capability to hurt you. It's just that they don't necessarily want to. It's a roll of the dice.)

Not a big believer myself, although I will admit to being spooked. But I have had some bad dreams about ghost that would be Hollywood blockbusters. When someone figures out how to hook a firewire up to my head and record my dreams I am gonna be rich! (But first I will have to edit out some of those riding my bike to school naked dreams)

What is up with dreams? The majority of my dreams have to do with me riding on the bus to work. And my "nightmares" are not even that. I wake up all scared that I just had one until I start remembering what it was and just slap myself for being scared at that.

  29. Not really........

This would seriously creep me out. I would not be able to look at the house the same way again.
