    I'm all for that! I'd like it so I wouldn't have to buy the song, burn a cd, then rip it back to mp3 to make it a smaller file size (I only have a 1gb iriver so I have to use heavy compression to get close to 400 songs on it).

    I'd be happy if they start selling open mp3s at a good bitrate on yahoo music.

    So double the price just for DRM free? You already pointed out how to make any file DRM-free by re-encoding it... why pay twice the price?

    They mentioned in the article the 2.00 was only for the personalized song. They were talking about keeping it around 1.00.

    So yes the thing the keeps you from doing anything good with the file like putting something purchased somewhere else other then itunes music store on your ipod.
