  1. I'm wanting to use TMPGenc to change my .mvi files into mpeg1-2(whatever) but TMPGenc doesn't accept .mvi. Which is apparently a Canon camera thing. Anyways, I heard to just use Virtualdub to change it over. But I have a few problems doing that. One, the video slows down at different points in the video. And also, when outputting to .avi it makes it an approx. 500+MB video for every 20 secs worth.

    Is there another way to do this? Another mpeg converter that will accept .mvi...

    try use a compression in virtualdub like divx or xvid or wmv vcm. under video->compression.

    To avoid the need to save the avi file to your harddrive, try Frameserving from Virtualdub to Tmpgenc.
