  1. Hi,

I have a mpeg-2 file from a live song recorded on TV Show.

Now, I'd like to add a fade out without having to reencode the whole file. TmpgEnc Mpeg Editor only allow to add a fadeout to audio but not the video which is bad.

So, does it exist a program able to cut an mpeg-2 file and add a fadeout top both audio and video without having to reencode the full file (only the fadeout should be reencoded) ?

    Thanks

You need a dedicated MPEG video editor - like VideoReDo.

There is a category in the "Tools" section. There are a number of tools - as to which ones do fades, I can't help because I don't edit MPEGs.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

Womble MPEG Video Wizard. It's a bit expensive, but it does a bunch of things and it has a 30 day free trial.
