    Hi,
I've been looking into upgrading my old Hi-8 Camcorder, I have seen some of the MPEG-4 Camcorders coming on the market and since I watch most of my video via my iPod it seemingly would be nice to go direct from Camcorder to iPod. Has anyone got their mitts on one of these yet? I tried a cheap import digital camera (DG Zoom) that reportedly also was an MPEG-4 Camcorder just for kicks, If you like Picasso-like macroblocks @ 15 or less frames per second 320x240 then it's a great camcorder!!! It also does a great job of tenderizing steaks but that's another story. Sony, Panasonic, & Samsung have offerings that look tempting but as all new tech are quite pricey. Any advice or info from forum members would be welcome.

CVS offers a disposable one time use 20 minute digital camcorder. It's like $20 or $30 US and you have to take it to the store to get it processed. I forgot what resolution it was but you could kick around with it for awhile and see if you want to go that route.

    Yoda313,
Disposable Video camera?? That doesn't give me a lot of confidence, 20 mins for 30 bucks US isn't terribly cost effective either, but thanks all the same for answering the post.

Any input from anyone on Digital Cameras with 30fps "Movie Modes" is it MPEG or MJPEG ?? I see some of them will do 640x480. Or is DV still the way to go, even with the hassles of tape storage and mechanical upkeep??
