    Probably because Tmpg DVD Source only output mpeg-2 to standard dvd resolution and bitrate for DVD.

    For svcd, use Tmpgenc XPress or Tmpgenc Encoder (which don't need SSE to run).

    I would suggest splitting a 158 min movie to 3cd's if you want an svcd. Otherwise it will look like crap. You can fit about 50 mins to 1 cd in acceptable quality.
