can someone thats done it recommend me some programs and/or basic tips on how to just simply get a better sound from some old demo recordings; that arent in so good quality transferred from tape (in mp3) ?
im not sure what settings or what program to use to maybe take out some hiss, make some bass deeper, vocals clearer etc..

thanks for the replies, and awesome drwazar that is exactly what im looking for although these are rare old rap recordings. anyhow yes i want to look into the program; here is a 10-15 second clip of a song from one of the demos...see if you could maybe do a little something with it. its very appreciated.

Used Audacity or Goldwave they do a neat job. You can get even cleaner with soundforge.

thanks i like it itt sounds a lot better, see if drewzor maybe gets some other results; what did you use and what are some of the settings you toyed with?

drewzor's method is really better for you because he did it with cheap and/or free tools vs. several grand
