HEY GUYS, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME USING WIN DV.
FROM MY NEW PANASONIC GS500 CAMCORDER.
I'm using the usb cable that came with the camcorder to upload the video to my pc.
But i get this message on windv. what am i doing wrong?
this is probably a dumb question....

For DV you should be using the FIREWIRE output not the USB. While you can do it with USB the quality should be better with the FIREWIRE from what I've read.
I don't own a DV personally but this is what I've read from other users.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
WINDV only does firewire.
Use Windows Movie Maker to copy from camera to HD via USB2.
