    Dear All

Recently I got a request from one of my colleagues to make some discs for testing DVD players’ samples.

One of the test required laser to move in the loop from inner side of the disc to the outer, testing durability of the pick up mechanism and connection cable.

None of the professionally done test discs (at least from what I’ve seen) have this kind of test.

Can any one suggest how I can create such thing?
    All ideas are welcome……..

well the easiest way would be to change a dual layer dvdr to play in an endless loop. make a post command in the pgc command table to loop back to the first chapter.

The main idea is to make pick up mechanism to walk forward and backward several times a minute.....

Not really. Normal DVD player have to pass enormous number of tests before heating the market.
