I'd like an easy way to batch convert a season of TV episodes (5-6 DVD-Videos ripped to my hard drive) to avis at a set picture resolution and data rate.
Handbrake allows you to batch convert one DVD-Video at a time, although it is a little fiddly - having to manually add each episode to the queue and set each one's resolution/data rate etc.
Handbrake Lite has a much better approach for converting one DVD-Video at a time to iPod-friendly avis: it lists the episodes, you tick the ones you want, and away it goes.
I really want an option like Handbrake Lite, but which allows you to set a batch of ripped DVD-Videos going rather than just one, and also gives you the option to set non-iPod specifications (eg. 640x352).
Why isn't my dream app out there
I just came across this, and will have to try it out: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=5562178
Ffmegpx will queue from multiple VIDEO_TS, from memory, but is also a bit fiddly.
