I have just bout a DVD from Australia (All Aussie Adventures) and its set on a Regional code, so I cant play it, I've tried copying the disc to remove the code using SONIC Roxio DVD copying but it is a protected disc, I have tried looking for an unlock code for my VHS/DVD player which is a Funai DBVR 5700 but thus far no luck here.
Can anyone tell me how I can play these disc or remake them and what software to use,
Or has anyone got a code that I can unlock my player with please
    thanks

RIP the DVD to your computer.

You can use DVD Decrypter or DVDFab Decrypter or RipIt4Me (which requires you have DVD Decrypter).

Once you RIP the DVD to your computer's HDD using those programs it is now REGION FREE.

You then copy it back to a DVD-R or DVD+R etc.

There are a ton of guides on this site that cover all of this. That's why they are there.

  4. That won't work if his DVD player doesn't have an NTSC to PAL and vice versa video converter. He'll be limited to watching on his PC.

The originator of this thread is in the UK which is PAL REGION 2 and he wanted to make REGION FREE back-ups of some Australian DVD discs which are PAL REGION 4 so there is no NTSC/PAL issue here.

Thanks all but dont worry I used RIPIT4ME on the Australian discs and made copies which play well on the DVD player and PC so I can now watch them on TV I managed to get an unlock code for one of my DVD layers and the discs play well on that as well, Good of you to think about the PALetc, But I'm in the UK region. It works fine after using RIPIT4ME anyway.
    Thanks all
