I'm using WinAVI version 7.5 and the type of file I have runs on Xvid and the audio is in Microsoft ADPCM.

I have attempted to convert the file in order to burn it to VCD. Whenever I convert it the video is preserved, but I get no audio. None whatsoever.

I've tried converting it to VCD format, I've attempted converting it in AVI format and messed around with the audio. I've tried the following kinds of audio for it: ZJ Media MP3 Encoder, ZJ Media MP2 Encoder, ZJ Media uncompress PCM, PCM, Microsoft ADPCM, and MPEG layer 3.

    And still no audio.

Drop it into VirtualDub Mod and extract out the audio as a WAV. You can then use the video and the WAV and encode with TMPGEnc to MPEG-1 format.

Or check the file with Gspot 2.52 and see what kind of audio you are really dealing with.

    And welcome to our forums.

EDIT: I guess I should tell you WinAVI is not that popular around here, first for it's lack of quality and manufacturer assistance and second their persistant spamming on our site.

I would also check your codecs. Microsoft ADPCM should be in your system by default. Maybe it's corrupted or the audio is not Microsoft ADPCM.
