  1. I was hoping to purchase XP Media Center to use a S-video on my 60in Wide HD television.

Will I get proper resolution or will I get a stretch display? PLs dont ask me to change the Wide screen mode to Wide, normal, zoom or wide zoom. I am looking for like when I put a DVD in my dvd-player and it makes the resultion fit.

With S-Video you will be getting low NTSC resolution and it will look awful. Use S-video only for VCR and quick camcorder previews.

You should be using analog component or DVI/HDMI for high def sources.

A DVD is not high def either. Connect your DVD player with analog component preferably in progressive 480p mode.
