Hi.. i've heard the Philips chipsets might be good.. esp. the Philips SAA7134? Can anyone recommend some cards based on them currently available with svhs in.. i don't need a tuner, just a plain capture card. I have a Kworld PCI dvd maker atm which initially perofrmed well, but seems to show intererence from cable sources...

Here in the US I bought one of these for $20 about 3 months ago. I don't know if this has been discontinued. I'd sell you mine if you were in the US; I replaced it with the Kworld that you're having problems with. Good Luck!Usually long gone and forgotten
