Hi, all. Another addition of mkv=wtf?

I have an mkv with 2 audio tracks (details below) and when I extract using mkvtools, the audio is unusable. I've tried converting with iTunes, ffmpegx, Audacity, VLC and Quicktime Pro. The only success I've had is Save As using QT, which lets me play the resulting file in iTunes, but I still can't mux it using ffmpegx. iTunes gives me an error just at the end of 7 minutes of converting to mp3 or AC3 (-50 unknown error). ffmpegx doesn't want to touch the audio. I've tried Exporting with VLC, but the file's unopenable.

The video track comes out fine using mkvtools. It's H264.
The two audio files are 6 channel mp4a 48000 Hz.

I've tried "Passing through" using ffmpegx for audio and video, but the file comes out unusable. I've tried encoding the different audio tracks to AC3, AAC, etc. but ffmpegx blings after 1 sec and gives me a 0 kb file. Audacity can't read any of them (QT output is, of course, .mov).

Please advise me of more things that I might try.

    Thanks!
