    Hello people!

    I have this Question.

I want to cut some Mkvs without re-encoding, MKVMerge Gui reports video as V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC supposed to be H.264 from what I've know.

When I Try to extract using MKVExtractGUI, it's asking for a Extention for the type AVC format or something like this. When the extraction job finishes, It gives me a RAW or something like this that cannot be played alone in MPC, only converting from AVC2AVI but I don't think that would be useful for me.

When I'm trying to remux the video Stream back to MKV, it returns a error messege (don't remember what), but I can't do this.

    How can I do this?

By the way, I've tried to do this because the attachments only work for the firs part splitted of the MKV when using the MKV as source, but if I have all streams appart the attachments will work for every part.

Extension should be *.264 and you would need to mux to mp4 before muxing to mkv since I don't think mkvmerge can handle raw AVC streams.

Thanks for your reply, I've just tried it, muxed the 264 to mp4, but resolution has changed and the video is out of sync, the audio and subs still Ok, how can I repair it?

Edit: The resolution part is solved, the part of audio video out of synch stills

If the original mkv was VFR you need to remux with the original time codes.
