    Hi,

Is it possible to be lets say be in the USA using a camcorder so ppl online can view it LIVE?I.e conferences etc

If yes how do I go about setting this up?

Do the ppl viewing online go to a website and then watch the stream that I am uploading?

    Please clarify...

    Thanks...

That is essentially the idea, yes. You'll need a hefty internet connection, of course, depending on the res of the video you're feeding. And what kind of eqipment you got, as the video must be digitzed and compressed in real-time. Probably easier with a purpose-built webcam than with your camcorder.

What do you consider to be "decent"? 640x480 is better than TV, and seriously strains the pipe. Needs heavy compression to go over DSL line. Not sure of "broadcast" IP can help you here... I must plead ignorance on the more pertinent details. What exactly do you have in mind? Do a video podcast or more of a LiveCast?

Try the free Windows media 9 encoder to get started and learn the ropes.

    Baldrick has an excellent tutorial.

You can feed a limited number of users in a push configuration from a PC but a server is needed for high quality to multiple users.

You can easily contract for this at most convention centers or from independent service providers. There is no need to reinvent the wheel.
