Here is an article on disabling your USB drives, without
disabling the mouse and keyboard, to prevent access to
the USB drives by unwanted persons.
It is a registry change but a program is also available.
I don't have theft problems, and I haven't tried this, but
maybe the info will be helpful to somebody. Maybe it might
be good for laptops.

By the way, halfway down the page, on the left side, is a link to

Very nice. I guess I won't have to superglue mice and other USB peripherals in to the USB ports anymore, and I won't have to mutilate the unused ports with a fork.
