I sometimes do when it's got some interesting extras but very rarely after watching the movie. If I was any after the movie it's because I want to know how things like certain scenes were done while it's fresh in my mind

Yes I watch extras.
Hey no fair mackemx I already made a poll like this last year!!!!Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -

when dvd's were new for me, i of course watched EVERYTHING! after a while, though, 'behind the scenes' & 'making of' gets pretty dull.
i love 'outakes' thoughI am just a worthless liar,
I am just an imbecil -
I like to watch deleted scenes and bloopers from all movies. However I will only watch making of's and behind scene type things if it is one of my all time favorites (LOTR's for example)

I generally watch all the extras on a dvd - once - but find that I am never motivated to watch them again.

No, I'm not interested in the extras.
I never watch them because they are not dubbed. And I don't like watching a VOST movie. -
Never have and prolly never will unless something worth wild really catches my eye.

When the extras are interesting (to me) I watch them. But a theatrical trailer and a storyboard comparison? (YAWN!)
Now, The Wizard of Oz had excellent extras. You could spend more time watching those than the movie... THAT'S a great a value for the $$$. Most DVDs have crap for extras.Even a broken clock is right twice a day. -
the quality of extras vary wildly, of course. something like the four disc LOTR sets are a whole experience to themselves. but ive seen some utter tosh being advertised as 'extras'. and some DVD's STLL list 'interactive menus' and 'scene access' as special features!
working in an educational establishment, things like storyboard to screen comparisons can be really good tools to teach Film Studies and other Media courses.
what sickens me with DVD these days is the way they put stuff like Trailers and other stuff on the disc, that comes up before the menus or any meaningful content! that kind of thing becomes old and frustrating very quickly. another good reason to rip your movies!never absorb anything bigger than your own head -
I like to watch the Star Wars extras. I really liked the episode 3 extra "within a minute" Now if they only put some of the deleted scenes back in the movie.
-
I dont watch extras, not really interested in them. Ive only watched extras on one DVD (well, trilogy), LOTR EE's only.

Very very very seldomly.
I'd rather watch just the movie itself and form my opinions (likes & dislikes) from it alone. If a movie - by itself - fails to make me like it, nothing will. For example, I don't care whether or not a star does all the stunts by him/her-self. I don't care how much it costs a movie's set of decoration.
It is ridiculous for an artist to have to explain his/her art to the public in order to win their support. -
Why does everybody always think new movies are the only thing on DVD?
Quite a few television shows have great extras on them, especially for older shows where they go back and interview actors several decades later.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Do you ever listen to the comment track? I have only listened to a few minutes on a couple of flics, but quickly got ittitated. I wish they would make the volume of the comments a lot lower so I coauld here the sound track as well. They could then wait untll lulls in the action to make there observations.
As extras, the only ones I like are interviews especially if they are with actors in old movies. But there aren't many like that. I never watch out takes because it usually is obvious why they didn't include them. -
I watch the extras occasionally but sometimes they are
nothing more than adverts for the actors' other movies!
If the actors are discussing their part in the movie or how
it was made I'll watch it. -
Almost never. Only the LOTR extras were worthwhile, IMO. And yeah, if you're a Star Wars nut, those are okay too.
Pull! Bang! Darn! -
I have only watched a few extras, bloopers/outtakes, or the occasional directors commentary over the movie, if I hear that they are funny. A friend recently told me he wathed an "adult" dvd, and it had directors commentary on it. He said it was hilarious, even though some of it was supossed to be the directing talking seriously, but can you take anything in porn seriously....haha
